Fraud, Murder & Mayhem

A MYSTERIOUS MAP AND THE LURE OF GOLD SEND THREE FRIENDS OFF ON AN INTERNATIONAL SPREE THEY MIGHT NOT SURVIVE
Chester and Arnie are two car aficionados who buy beat-up cars and fix them up as a hobby – sometimes making a profit, sometimes not. They buy an old VW Westfalia camper at an impound auction sale in Mendocino, and from there they are thrown into a world of nasty business – a small-time attorney in a scheme to fraudulently collect life insurance proceeds, a missing drug dealer who does not want to be found, and an ex-Navy SEAL who has patiently waited for a large payoff.
The rollercoaster ride through mayhem begins when the two friends disassemble the van to discover a mysterious map hidden in the ceiling. When a stranger arrives to offer them twice the money they paid for the van, their suspicion grows, and they start to investigate. Chester’s girlfriend Erika determines the map turns out to be a trail to locations where a fortune is hidden, and the stranger who wants to buy the van from them is a link to an elaborate plan to defraud an insurance company.
Arnie ends up in Australia, where he encounters the infamous “Cut Toe Gang,” sometimes called Toecutters – Australia’s worst and most murderous thieves and bank robbers. He gets away from certain death at the hands of this gang and gets back to his friends in California. The trail then takes the trio to an oilfield and other odd places, including an American courtroom where the light of truth begins to shine on previous falsehoods submitted to the court concerning a disappearance that turned into the opening of probate for the disappeared.
The big question is whether or not the three friends who have unwittingly stumbled onto a treasure map in a beat-up car, will live through all the mayhem to find the fortune for themselves.
Fraud, Murder & Mayhem is a made-up story, based on factual events.
